All I Want For Xmas is to keep my job.
Posted by: mike | December 11th, 2008At least thats what Spurn wants. What’s Spurn you ask? Only the craziest, funniest Improv Threater you’ll ever see in your entire short little lifetime.
Tomorrow night, 12/12, spurn the Holidays at The Peoples Improv Theater! You only have three chances to see the show “where love is worse than death and reality is turned on its ear (New York Press) so we recommend you either buy tickets in advance or get to the theater early!
Performances take place THIS WEEK ONLY at 8:00 PM at The PIT, 154 W. 29th Street (between 6th & 7th Aves; take the 1 train to 28th St). Spurn’s cast, who “avidly throw themselves into performative stakes-raising” (Village Voice), are joined by a lovely returning director.
Running time is one hour. Tickets are ONLY $12 for general admission, and, because the majority of the cast & crew are alcoholics, beer and wine are both served in the lobby. For further information, please visit spurn-nyc.com or the PIT schedule page. For advance ticket sales, visit brown paper tickets (fees apply).
Want to get to know Spurn before you go? Don’t forget to check out any of the 40+ Spurn video podcasts currently online. Subscribe through the iTunes Store or visit them at Sony’s Crackle video site, YouTube, MySpace, Veoh and many, many others.
Please note, we highly recommend you arrive at the theater at least 15 minutes before the scheduled performance time to ensure seating. See you tomorrow!

***The Cast and Crew REALLY like to booze it up. Here are bars nearby where you might find the Cast and Crew after the shows: Seven Bar & Grill, Tillman’s, Mustang Sally’s, Mustang Harry’s (yup 2 different spots right next to each other) and the most likely spot, Triple Crown. Stay on the look out for those “Broadcasting”.***
