Fran Healy and The Bowmans at Housing Works :: Fri 11/7

The Bowmans playing Sidewalk Cafe in August

The Bowmans playing Sidewalk Cafe in August

See this show.  Just do it.  If I had not already made plans to go to Philly tonight, I would force my way to the front row.  Fran Healy, lead singer of the excellent Scottish band Travis, is doing a rare acoustic show tonight at The Housing Works in SoHo.  The most famous song you might/should know by Travis is the ballad “Why Does It Always Rain On Me”.  It’s a classic.  My talented singing sister friends (does that make sense??) The Bowmans are playing as well - it is quite the bill.

If you need more of a reason to see the show, the $20 entry gets you both sets of music, a free beer from Whole Foods Bowery, and the good feeling that all proceeds benefit the “admirable activism efforts of Housing Works against AIDS,” to quote Claire Bowman.  Go see it, and come back and leave comments.

See you out there…
